Guys, why would a single man begin a friendship with an attractive married woman he just met?

from another country? Why would he invest time staying in contact (contact is 1x every 1-2 weeks)? He's successful, smart and over 40. Remember it is long distance.

1. Maybe he thinks that she deserves better than what she has right now. Or it could be that he just wants the friendship.
2. Maybe he is missing something from other relationships. He could also feel secure knowing that she is far away with another man and so he can tell her things and know that she will not judge him because she does not really know him. It could be a challenge to get her away from her husband. Can't really say without knowing him.

4. Did they meet in person or over the INTERNET, chances are he himself is married and is lying about being single. You mentioned that she's married and attractive-didn't mention if she's happy. Maybe she's not happy in her marriage and she's telling him her problems, giving him hope they can be together. Maybe she's sooooooo attractive that any man married or single would want her in their life--someone beautiful to think about while they making love to an ugly person. Perhaps he has been successful in everything except for conquering a married woman and found his prey. Since I don't know them personally there's a lot of reasons as to why.
